Carolina Prep is nestled behind a gently rolling front lawn adorned with beautiful dogwood trees. Our school values excellence in academics, nurtures a love of enrichment programs and the arts, and celebrates individual cultures and ethnic backgrounds. These values are reflected in our facility’s colorful spaces, specialized places, and smiling faces.

Our beautiful grounds have wide open areas for play, exploration, and team activities. Our fairy tale themed playground is enchanting and inviting complete with castle towers, bridges, and even a zip line! A cozy courtyard situated between the Pre-School and the Primary School, allows us to incorporate lessons on gardening, recycling, nutrition, and nature. We tend a butterfly garden with lantana, purple sage, and parsley. We love our ladybugs and majestic sunflowers, too.

Our rain barrel captures and recycles water for our garden and grounds. We teach conservation and community outreach. The children prepare the beds, plow the dirt, plant the seeds, and tend to the garden throughout the year. We have fall, winter, spring, and summer gardens. The students have had a bountiful harvest of tomatoes, squash, pole beans, cucumbers, and much more. These fresh veggies are harvested by our students and then washed, bundled, and donated to ‘Loaves and Fishes’, a local organization that feeds the poor and hungry in our Greenville community. The children love the gardening and the “hands-on” experience of caring for your neighbor.

Our newly refurbished indoor multi-purpose area is used for physical education class, school-wide events and celebrations, faculty and parent meetings, our after-school program, and for our many wonderful extra curricular activities. This multi-purpose space houses a grand stage and a state-of-the-art sound system for awards ceremonies, our annual art show and musical, and various student performances.

Our youngest students enjoy their own designated gym in the Pre-School as well.

The royal theater boasts an expansive movie screen complete with heavy velvet drapes adorned with long golden fringe, a projector, ornately framed Broadway musical posters, and plenty of whimsical tuffets for seating.

Our dedicated art studio is bursting with natural sunlight, paints, brushes, colored pens, construction paper, scissors, and smocks.

Most importantly, our school is filled with laughter, and the wonderful sights and sounds of children who are learning.
